The Utah-based church, which has a strong presence in Mesa, sold a 2,170-sf office building at 3326 N. 7th St. in Phoenix to At Home Mortgage Brokers Inc. for $240,000. The firm plans to use the property for its offices. The building was the former location of an LDS clothing store, Mark Wilcke, with NAI Horizon's Phoenix office tells GlobeSt.com.
The church also sold about 3.8 acres at 6001 S. Kyrene Rd. in Tempe, where the plan at one time was to build a church, Wilcke said. The land sold for $501,670 to Strata Development LLC, a local development firm.
Wilcke and Joe Cryan of NAI Horizon, Phoenix, represented the church in both transactions. At Home Mortgage Brokers was represented by Tyler Weisser of Realty Experts of Phoenix in the building sale while Strata Development was self-represented in the land deal.
