Stuart Scott of Daum's Camarillo-based Ventura County office says both companies are scheduled to move in June 1 at the new building, which occupies 1.2 acres in the Ventura County portion of Westlake Village at 2301 Townsgate Rd. The new owners acquired the facility for $2.4 million from locally based Townsgate Partners, with Scott representing both the buyers and the seller.

Agoura Sash & Door sells doors, windows, moldings and hardware to both contractors and homeowners. It also plans to open a 5,000-sf showroom at the site, according to Dan Smith, president.

The company is relocating from 5310 Derry Ave. in Agoura Hills. Smith added Smith Bros. finish carpentry will share the Westlake Village building. Smith Bros. has specialized in high-end finish carpentry in the Conejo Valley since 1980.

Daum's Scott says the Townsgate Road property is rare for the area in that it is a single-tenant, freestanding structure with excellent loading access. Most buildings in the area are multi-tenant oriented, he says.

The new headquarters for Agoura Sash & Door is a concrete tilt-up structure featuring 10,000 sf of office/showroom space, ground level loading and 16-foot minimum interior clearance in the warehouse.
