Campbell, who has spent 30 years in the industry, has been involved in virtually every aspect of real estate development--much of it in Orange County. After serving as general partner with Laguna Niguel-based Birtcher Campbell Properties, he formed CT Realty in 1994 with 13 shareholders, a number that has since been expanded to 43. As president, he is responsible for CT's acquisitions and day-to-day operations. Since the company's founding, it has completed more than 120 transactions totaling more than $1.5 billion, which includes acquisitions, sales, development and redevelopment.

While he was with Birtcher Campbell, the well-known executive was responsible for the development of commercial real estate projects involving more than 7.5 million sf of space. He also was a founder and past chairman of the board of Pacific National Bank in Newport Beach. Campbell is a two-time graduate of UCLA's business school with a master's degree and a PhD in business administration.

CT Realty's investment strategy for the past eight years has been to develop and invest in high-quality properties with income and value growth potential that will be sold within three to five years. Product types include office, industrial, multifamily, mixed use and some retail. CT also develops self-storage properties to be held long-term. All of the firm's projects have been focused in the high-growth markets of Southern California and Sacramento, with values primarily in the $4 million to $30 million range.

Campbell joins a list of past honorees of the UCI Lifetime Achievement Award that include George Argyros, Donald Koll, Ronald Birtcher and John Parker. The annual event supports scholarships, programs and curriculum for the Real Estate Management Program at the Graduate School of Management.
