Leggett & Platt is a diversified manufacturer that conceives, designs and produces a broad variety of engineered components and products for customers worldwide. It will use its new space for manufacturing and distribution in an expansion from 38,000 sf elsewhere in Valencia. Leggett & Platt is expected to move into the new space soon, following completion of tenant improvements.

Mike Fowler of Newmark's LA office and Richard Madison of Newmark in Rutherford, NJ, who handles Leggett & Platt's national requirements, represented the tenant. Doug Sonderegger and Craig Peters of the CB Richard Ellis Inc. office in Sherman Oaks, listing agents for the business park, represented the Beverly Hills-based private investor who owns the property.

Terms of the lease were not disclosed. The asking rate for the building is 49 cents per sf per month, triple-net.

Leggett & Platt's new space is part of a 135,258-sf building that was built in 2001 and has about 33,000 sf of available space. It is a single-story, concrete structure with mezzanine office space.
