Developed in 2000, Weitz Lite is a streamlined operation that handles tenant improvements and smaller scale general contracting projects in the Valley. Chavez formerly was employed for more than six years as project manager for hardison/downey construction inc., an award-winning Phoenix-based construction firm.
In his new position as project manager for Weitz Lite, Chavez will be responsible for estimating, pre-construction services, project start-up, strategy, scheduling, work progress, subcontractor awards, job quality and job cost controls. Chavez, who holds a degree in construction management, also will be responsible for ensuring the success of Weitz Lite projects during the construction operations phase.
