David Proctor purchased the 13,622-sf complex at 5805 W. McLellan Blvd. in Glendale in a $510,000 deal with former owner Jeff Jacobs of Goodyear. Proctor will move his business, Custom Production Woodworks, into the vacant space in July. The firm has been operating out of 5511 N. 51st Ave. in Glendale.

Jeff Hulseweh, with Daum Commercial Real Estate Services, tells GlobeSt.com that the twin buildings, formerly occupied by Jacobs' firm, Southwest Specialty Food Co., was a perfect fit for Proctor's woodworking operation.

"It's a good building for them," said Hulseweh, noting that the property is comprised of shell space that will allow Proctor to bring in the machinery and tools needed to set up shop. Because the property is separated into two structures, Hulseweh said it will also give Proctor the option of renting out a portion of the buildings once he completes renovations to bring the structures up to code.

Hulseweh along with David Wilson, also with Daum Commercial Real Estate Services, handled the transaction for the buyer. The seller was represented by Mike Ellison with Coldwell Banker Commercial of Phoenix.
