In addition to the new name, announced today at the opening of Realcomm 2003, Tech Space also shuffled its top executive lineup as well as its board of directors. Michael Simmons, former chief financial officer of Enfrastructure, becomes president of TechSpace while Victor Memenas, formerly vice president of Enfrastructure's western operations, rises to COO of TechSpace.

TechSpace offers computer hardware and software at its office campuses in Southern California as well as New York City and Boston. Space also can include conference rooms, and can be leased on flexible terms, according to the company.

"The name change to TechSpace was a practical decision," Simmons says. "Significant time and money has been invested in developing brand awareness for the TechSpace name in seven global markets over the past five years. The Enfrastructure brand-building has been focused primarily in Southern California. Also, our research indicated that the TechSpace name was more appealing to customers and better understood."

Simmons also has a seat on the board of directors with former Enfrastructure CEO James Watson, former TechSpace co-founder Bruce Bockmann and former TechSpace chief executive officer Debra Larsen. Offering independence will be PepsiCo Inc. co-founder Don Kendall, United Airlines chairman emeritus Gerald Greenwald, ThinkTank Holdings Inc. attorney Neel Glover and Buy.com chief executive officer Scott Blum.
