The 20-acre center, now standing at 177,000 sf, is getting a 78,000-sf component that targets lifestyle retailers. James Avery Craftsman, based in Kerrville, TX, will open doors in November, a month after the grand opening by Talbots, Chico's, Ann Taylor Loft and the Bombay Co. Pre-leasing has reached 80%.

A contact for James Avery says the center was selected because it fills a gap in the jeweler's trade area in Houston plus it likes the tenant mix lined up for the lifestyle addition. The Kingwood Commons store will be James Avery's ninth location in Greater Houston.

Kristin Barker in the Houston office for Dallas-based Trammell Crow Co. represented James Avery. Bea Naranjo, retail leasing director for Planned Community Developers, represented the building owner, Kingwood Commons Ltd.
