Walser's, which is expanding its retail operation to Internet wholesaling of art supplies, according to Jeff Turek in the Klabin Co.'s Torrance office, has already moved into the new facility at 23145 Kashiwa Court. He and Todd Taugner, also in Klabin's Torrance office, represented Walser's. Jim D'Angelo of JD Co. in Torrance represented the seller, Magnetic Component Engineering of Torrance.

Walser's acquisition is a concrete tilt-up structure featuring 4,000 sf of office space, dock-high and ground-level loading. The building will include a retail showroom and 22-foot clear warehouse space. The move is the latest in a series of expansions for Walser's, which was founded in 1975 in a 1,300-sf storefront. The company supplies art materials, drafting equipment, picture frames, office supplies, books, furniture, stationery, photo processing, fine pens, computer hardware and software, and provides computer design services. It is known for supporting the local art community by providing awards to non-profit art associations' annual exhibitions.
