Bob Goodmanson of the CB Richard Ellis office in Anaheim tells GlobeSt.com that the building will serve as a headquarters, warehouse and storage yard for the tile company, which maintains a retail operation along the "Mile of Tile" on State College Boulevard, where tile and marble retailers and wholesalers are concentrated.

Goodmanson was part of a CB Richard Ellis team including Ian Britton and Brad Bierbaum, also in the firm's Anaheim office, who represented the seller. The buyer was represented by JR Wildermuth of Associated Commercial in Anaheim.

The Orion building, which was empty at the time of the sale, was built in the 1970s. Orion is in the process of moving into the facility, which occupies 3.5 acres. The freestanding single-story, concrete tilt-up structure includes a one-acre storage yard that was one of the primary reasons Orion bought the property, according to Goodmanson. He says the tile company will use the storage yard to warehouse large marble slabs and othermaterials.
