Kirby's acquired the southwest corner of Timberloch Place and Interstate 45. Chuck Keller of Strode Property Co. in Dallas represented the restaurateur while seller, the Woodlands Operating Co., used its director of commercial sales and leasing, Greg Jordan, to broker the transaction. Land previously was reported as selling for $7.51 per sf in the Woodlands.
"The Woodlands location and demographics are almost identical to those of our most successful restaurant in the Dallas area," Jim Ingram, Kirby's owner said in a press release. "We chose the Woodlands because we feel it's the best possible location for us to be in our Texas expansion." The 50-year-old chain has one restaurant in Dallas and two in the suburbs of Plano and Southlake.
The 300-seat Woodlands location will include banquet rooms, valet parking and a bar overlooking Lake Robbins. According to a Kirby's contact, ground will break soon.
