Building owner Russo Development, based in Hackensack, NJ, was represented in-house by Ed Russo and Mike Pembroke. OMNIFitness was represented in the negotiations by John D'Amato of McBride Corporate Real Estate of Franklin Lakes, NJ. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
OMNIFitness, which sells things such as treadmills, bikes and home gyms through its network of 60 retail stores as well as online, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brunswick Corp., which acquired the company about two years ago. When OMNIFitness originally set up shop back in 1981, one of its first two stores was opened not far away in Rockaway, NJ.
