Banana ripeners and distributors J N Fox & Sons bought the 11,507-sf Unit A, totalling while Sovena Fortune Inc has bought the 11,500-sf Unit D to house Stardex, its UK import/export operation. Both deals were close to the asking price of £130 ($215) per sf.
J N Fox will fit out the new building at Orbital 46 with specialist banana ripening equipment. The company is currently based on the Western International Market site at Heathrow, which is to be redeveloped shortly. Fox considered opportunities as far afield as Stokenchurch and Thame, before deciding to acquire a freehold at Orbital 46.
