Charter Title Co. Fort Bend, with five offices in the Houston area, signed a medium-term lease for 8,419 sf in the office component, which is rising above 230,000 sf of retail space set in a two-story strip center design. A contact for Sugarland Properties Inc. tells GlobeSt.com that more office deals are close to being announced, but was unable to say how much has been pre-leased to date.
Charter Title, set to occupy the new space in October, will be relocating from 4655 Sweetwater Blvd. in Sugar Land. Howard W. "Chip" Horne Jr. of the Houston office of Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. represented Charter Title in the lease negotiations. Sugarland Properties had its vice president, Don Janssen Jr., broker its terms.
