The facility that Orion will occupy is on a 25-acre site that was formerly a production plant for Crown Cork & Seal. The complex is at 601 Parr Blvd.

Todd Severson of Colliers International in Oakland says the site includes a main manufacturing facility totaling 208,000-sf, a smaller manufacturing building of 13,500-sf, office space, and vacant land for future development. Orion will convert the facility to a warehouse, distribution center and corporate offices. Joe Boone, president of Orion, says the firm has been searching for the past few years for a facility to accommodate the company's growth plans.

Severson represented Orion Logistics, with Bill Banker of Cornish & Carey Commercial representing Crown Cork & Seal.

Orion is a third-party logistics service firm that provides contract and public warehousing, distribution, transportation management and other services for companies that manufacture consumer products.
