Remo Polselli, a 47-year-old Bloomfield Township resident, owned andoperated the Plaza between 1993-1997.

He pleaded guilty in January of one count of failure to account for and paywithholding and Social Security Taxes and two counts of failure to filefederal income tax returns from the years 1995 and 1996.

Polselli owned the Plaza through Prudential Management Corp. and InfinityGroup Ltd., Inc., and intentionally failed to pay the Internal RevenueService the taxes, said the indictment. He deducted and collected almost$2.5 million in withholding and Social Security taxes from his employees,and also failed to file tax returns himself after grossing about $1.3million between 1995-96.

Polselli was also ordered to pay $2.9 million in restitution.
