In the Santa Ana transaction, the trusts acquired a property at 2900 S. Harbor Blvd. from a Newport Beach-based private individual. Steve Economos and George Economos of the Newport Beach office of NAI Capital Commercial, who brokered both of the office deals, say the buyers of the Santa Ana building got a fully leased investment with tenants including the County of Orange, the regional headquarters for the Staples office supply chain and the parent company for Hooked on Phonics.
The concrete tilt-up building was constructed in 1979. It is a two-story, freestanding building within the South Coast Metro office district, with high visibility along Harbor Boulevard, one of the area's major thoroughfares.
In the Laguna Niguel deal, Crestmark Entertainment LLC of Laguna Niguel purchased a 22,195-sf office building at 29982 Ivy Glenn Dr. from Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics of Philadelphia. The two-story, red brick and black glass freestanding building was vacant at the time of purchase. It formerly was the headquarters for Furon, a large plastics manufacturer. The building, completed in 1981, had been owned by the seller for about two years.
