Largest of the three new leases is the 20,000 sf taken by outlet retailer Odd Job, whose CFO Ed Cornell cites "the demographics of the region" as being favorable for the retail chain. Geographically, Capitol Plaza is located at the point where Ewing Twp., Lawrenceville and Trenton, the state capital, all meet.
The two other leases include Harrison Career Institute, a technical school operator with 14 locations in the Mid-Atlantic region, which took just under 8,400 sf; and Italian Shoe Warehouse, which signed on for just under 4,000 sf. Other key current tenants at the complex include Super G Supermarket, AJ Wright, Blockbuster, Fashion Bug, GNC, Foot Locker, Forman Mills, American Furniture Design, Kidspot and Ashley Stewart.
"Capitol Plaza's location has given it a broad geographical market," concludes Mulartrick, who negotiated all three leases on behalf of the ownership.
