Announcing that 79% of shareholders had accepted the 12p-per-share offer, Chairman Peter Brooks and non-executive director Alan Davis immediately resigned to make way for Jafari-Fini.
His first move was to appoint Ted Webster and David Taylor to the board. Until last year Webster was chairman of the consultancy division, and head of the Scottish office of Insignia Richard Ellis Europe, and he will take responsibility for Chesterton's commercial division.
