In-N-Out signed a long-term lease for 5,331 sf at a street-front location, according to JoAnne Brosi, the general manager at Glendale Galleria. Brosi says the restaurant features outside seating along Central Boulevard in addition to inside seating, but does not feature the drive-through window that In-N-Out's locations usually have because it is in the 1.3-million-sf mall, a General Growth Properties Inc. of Chicago property with five department store anchors and 250 specialty shops.

In-N-Out, founded in 1948, maintains its corporate headquarters in Irvine, with most of its restaurant supply operations based in Baldwin Park. The family-owned burger chain, which operates 175 locations in California, Nevada and Arizona, is known for cooking burgers from fresh hamburger, not frozen patties, and French fries made from fresh potatoes as well as milkshakes made from real ice cream.
