"They wanted to stay central and they wanted a freestanding building fairly close to their current location," Gary Anderson with Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial tells GlobeSt.com of the three-year, $160,000 deal.

The firm, which provides floor and carpet materials, moved from its former location at 3130 N. 35th Ave. in Phoenix into the 1430 N. 29th Ave. building under terms that gave three months free rent and a discounted lease rate, Anderson said. The space was previously occupied by Rite Screen, which moved out of the property about five months ago.

Anderson, along with Marc Hetzberg, also with Grubb & Ellis/BRE Commercial, represented the tenant in the lease transaction. The building owner, Hewson Cos. of Phoenix was represented by Matt Hobaica with Lee & Associates.
