Sabin will also serve as an independent trustee on Hersha's audit committee. He has held executive positions with Marriott Corp.; Vistana, which is now owned by Starwood; Choice Hotels International, and Hudson Hotels.
He is the current CFO, general council and secretary of Hanover, MD-based Novascreen Biosciences Corp., a contract research biotech company. He also serves on the board of Fairfield, CT-based Competitive Technologies Inc.
Hersha currently owns 18 hotels in NY, PA, MD and GA. The hospitality REIT focuses on premium limited and full-service hotels in the eastern U.S. and on acquisition and JV opportunities in primary and secondary markets near major metropolitan areas.
