John R. Scoblick previously was the senior manager of business development in Houston for DuPont Safety Resources of Newark, DE. Prior to the stint with DuPont, he was vice president and director for Enron Property Co. and Enron Broadband Services. While at Enron, he assisted in transaction financing for the 1.2-million-sf headquarters lease, 300,000-sf CBD office lease, rollout of the national broadband network and acquisition and disposition of international and domestic real estate holdings.
Scoblick tells GlobeSt.com that his focus at Strategis-Cresa will be corporate clients, particularly those in the energy industry. He will broker leases, acquisitions and dispositions as well as develop real estate management strategies. He has started off with a "fairly large international energy company," the name of which is being kept under wraps, but like others in the industry is scrutinizing the meshing of real estate obligations and assets with business plans.
