Darin Lee, project manager for Whittier-based Oltmans, says the new facility is due to be completed in November and will increase Bradshaw's plant to a total of 800,000 sf. The development site for the build-to-suit project is a 22-acre parcel at Buffalo Avenue and Fourth Street, where Oltmans also built Bradshaw's existing facilities. With the plant expansion, Bradshaw will employ approximately 250 workers at the Buffalo Avenue complex.

Formed in 1969, Bradshaw, in addition to marketing kitchenware, distributes tools, gadgets, food storage and tabletop products, bakeware and cookware under "The Good Cook" brand, which is distributed in more than 30,000 US retail store outlets.

Steve Burbridge, vice president of operations for Bradshaw, says the company's expansion responds to continuing growth over the last 10 years. The building will be a concrete tilt-up structure featuring an ESFR sprinkler system, 30-foot clear minimum warehouse space and 12,000 sf of office space. Hill Pinckert Architects of Newport Beach is the project architect.
