Bill Hornaday, senior vice president of construction for Weitz's Southwest Division, has been promoted to president of the Colorado Division in Denver while Steve Smith, vice president/ERP leader for the Weitz's corporate office, has been transferred to the Southwest Division to become the new vice president of construction. Both Hornaday and Smith will assume the roles Aug. 1.

Hornaday, a 25-year employee, began his career with the Weitz Co. in 1977 as a timekeeper in the Des Moines office and has held various positions throughout his tenure. As president of the Colorado Division, he will oversee the Denver, Frisco, Glenwood Springs and Colorado Springs offices.

Smith began his career with the firm in 1985 as a project engineer in the Des Moines office and most recently worked in Des Moines leading the operations charge for a company wide computer enterprise system.

At Lincoln Property Co., Peggy R. Maxwell was named regional property manager to oversee management of about one million sf of commercial property in Arizona. The 10-year veteran of property management recently was president and designated broker of M 2 Management LLC in Phoenix. Her expertise includes all aspects of property management, ranging from creation and maintenance of vendor relationships to financial management and leasing assistance.
