Peter Pistone of the Downtown Los Angeles office of Grubb & Ellis Co. says Medi-Pedic Bedding has moved into half of the freestanding, concrete tilt-up building at 2638 Yates Ave. The other half of the building is leased to an existing tenant.
Pistone says that besides serving as the corporate headquarters for Medi-Pedic, the building also provides additional manufacturing and warehouse space for the company, which previously had occupied two buildings, totaling approximately 60,000 sf, in Commerce and Montebello.
Medi-Pedic acquired the building from the Pauly Family Trust of Pismo Beach, with Pistone and Mark McDonald, also in Grubb & Ellis' Downtown LA office, representing the seller. Craig Phillips of the City of Commerce office of Lee & Associates represented Medi-Pedic.
