Bob Lundstedt, senior director with Insignia/ESG tells GlobeSt.com that the mortgage giant will take the entire fifth floor of one of the six-story buildings under a seven-year lease valued at $2.3 million. "It was a great deal for them," said Lundstedt, who brokered the deal for the tenant with the assistance of Insignia/ESG associate Jim Bayless. "They came out of a class C building into a class A and are probably paying $2 per sf less than had they renewed their old lease."
Lundstead said Suburban Mortgage also got a sign on the 2510 W. Dunlap building. The firm will share the complex with several high-profile tenants including American Express, Liberty Mutual and Verizon Wireless.
The mortgage company, which moved into the property earlier this month, was previously located in 17,000 sf at 11221 N. 20th Dr. near Peoria and 20th avenues. Building owner Transwestern Commercial Services used an in-house broker for the lease negotiations.
