Washington Mutual Bank took two locations, each 3,500 sf, in Fort Bend and Kleinwood. Abe Pacetti with Regency Centers tells GlobeSt.com that the WaMu leases have five-year terms. The spaces are being built out and will be open for business in 90 to 120 days.

The Seattle-based bank relocated and expanded from a smaller branch office nearby into an end cap at a 97,270-sf Kroger-anchored center at the intersection of Texas 6 and Bissonnet Road in Fort Bend, Pacetti says. In the 190,583-sf Kleinwood Center, WaMu took a corner spot in the H-E-B-anchored plaza at the junction of Stuebner Airline and Louetta roads in Spring, northwest of Houston.

In Houston's northwest quadrant, Fast Frame leased 1,875 sf in Champions Forest Plaza, a 115,247-sf center anchored by a Randall's grocery store and Eckerd drug store at the crossroads of Louetta Road and Champion Forest Drive. The framing business also signed a five-year lease, with move-in planned for early August, according to Pacetti.

In two more five-year leases, Denver-based Quizno's reserved 1,500 sf and P&L Nails took 1,190 sf in Sweetwater Plaza at the corner of US Highway 59 and Sweetwater Boulevard in Sugar Land, south of the city. The eatery will open in the fall at the 133,979-sf, Kroger-anchored center. Pacetti says Quizno's inquired about the space long before it became available so he immediately called the franchisee when the tenant started making plans to move.
