Mike Hooker of the Van Nuys office of Delphi, who represented machine shop Amar Corp. in the purchase of the 13,296-sf industrial building, says the move also represents an expansion for the machine shop, which is in 6,000 sf of leased space in Northridge.
The new Amar facility occupies just under an acre of land at 24749 Avenue Rockefeller. The buyer is scheduled to move into the building in mid-August and will employ approximately 20 workers at the site. Hooker says Amar moved in order to expand and also to own its own facility. Its new headquarters is a freestanding concrete tilt-up structure with extensive electrical and air line distribution features. Other features include 3,000 sf of office space, ground-level loading, 16-foot minimum warehouse clearance, and ample on-site parking.
Craig Peters and Doug Sonderegger of the Sherman Oaks office of CB Richard Ellis represented the seller, the East Coast-based Lee Co.
