"Clayton Lane will be to Cherry Creek North what Larimer Squareis to Lodo," says Nichols, who is turning the Sears parking lotinto a mixed-use development including retail, offices and thecity's first J.W. Marriott hotel. Janus, the large mutual fundfamily, is the anchor tenant in the office component. A Wholes Foodstore already is open.

"Our location offers access to Cherry Creek like no otherresidential development," Nichols says. "Everything a homeownerneeds will be right at their doorstep. Whole Foods will be theirpantry. There will be coffee shops, diverse shopping, top-notchrestaurants and relaxing courtyards all within steps of theirhome.
