Brian Stoffers, LJ Melody's executive managing director and COO, tells GlobeSt.com that the plan is to "bolster" its presence in the northeast, starting with the new office in Washington, DC. Paul Dougherty, former head of I/ESG's Finance & Capital Markets Group in Washington, DC, was named regional managing director of the Northeast Region. He will oversee offices in Boston, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York as well as Washington, DC. Staying in place in the nation's capitol are directors Joe Donato and Maury Zanoff. Stoffers says more producers will be hired to field the initiative.

Jim Starman in Pittsburgh went from oversight of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania to managing the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia offices for LJ Melody. Stoffers says Starman spent his entire career in the Pennsylvania market, but the territory reduction was done so he can focus on his forte of management and acquisition of major accounts for the CBRE mortgage banking division.

New to the team are Jonathan Rice in Atlanta, Michael Sherman in New York City, Bill Waldron in New Jersey and Brian Corrigan in Newport Beach/Los Angeles, all hailing from I/ESG's Finance & Capital Markets Group and all accorded director titles. All will bring their analysts and administrative staff, but Stoffers didn't know the head count.
