Cafe Express reserved 6,000 sf and Japaneiro's Sushi Bistro & Latin Grill took 3,500 sf, both signing long-term leases for the town center project at the intersection of US Highway 59 and Texas 6. Steve Ewbank, executive vice president of Sugarland Properties Inc., says the 80% pre-leased level includes leases that are still being negotiated.
Cafe Express, a Houston chain, will open its 11th location in Greater Houston in November in a mixed-use building with second-floor, class A office space. Nick Hernandez, broker with Boyd Page/ChainLinks in Houston represented Cafe Express in the transaction.
Japaneiro's, which serves Japanese and Latin food, will open in October. Owner Robert White also operates the Sasu Sushi in Sugar Land.
