Riverwalk will encompass four buildings centered on a 140-foot-wide promenade that dead-ends at the Hudson River, according to Marshall Tycher, managing partner of the Short Hills, NJ-based Roseland. It will feature a waterfront park, as well as fountains at each crosswalk along the promenade.

The current phase's 1,000 units include almost 300 condominium homes and 700 luxury apartments, according to Tycher. At build-out, Port Imperial will encompass a total of 6,500 residential units, and 1.3 million sf of office, hotel and retail space.

Capstone's recent retail-related leasing and sales deals in the region include the Whole Foods Center in Edgewater, NJ and the A&P headquarters store and Tices Corner lifestyle center in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. As far as Riverwalk, "we are already negotiating with a number of high-profile retailers," says managing member Edward Schuck.
