The report tracks 11 projects, which together would have a completed value over the next 15 or 20 years of about $10 billion.

"A majority of Denver's current redevelopments are guided by New Urbanism, which will have a base of residential combined with a component of commercial development and transportation access," the report notes.

Two of the biggest developments are Stapleton and Fitzsimons. Together, they account for more than $8 billion in development.

Stapleton, with 4,700 acres, is being developed by Forest City. It is the largest infill development in the country.

Fitzsimons is a 579-acre former Army Hospital that is being turned into a $4.3 billion patient care, education, basic science research and bioscience center. It will be anchored by the 227-acre campus of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and Hospital and the affiliated 160-acre Colorado Bioscience Park Aurora.
