The new 180,000-sf facility will house courtrooms, detention and administration areas. Construction begins at the end of August and is scheduled for completion in early 2005.
This is the second justice center project Swinerton has been awarded this year. The firm currently is building the City of Thornton Justice Center. This $19-million new facility is scheduled for completion in June and includes police administration areas, a city court building, a parking structure and improvements to Civic Center Park.
Currently ranked 12th on Engineering News Record's list of America's Top General Contractors, Swinerton provides the full range of pre-construction and construction services to clients, including interior work, commercial construction, renovations, design-build and value management. Founded in 1888, Swinerton has been building along Colorado's Front Range since 1942. The employee-owned firm posted sales of $1.4 billion in 2002.
