Bixby paid more than $5.4 million for the two buildings, according to Charles W. Gardner of the Newport Beach office of Daum. The two include a 20,172-sf R&D/industrial building at 879 Marlborough St. and a three-story 19,986-sf office building at 895 Marlborough St. The buildings occupy an aggregate of approximately three acres of land.
Gardner represented Bixby Land Co. in both acquisitions. Ian Devries of CB Richard Ellis represented Magnon Companies of Riverside, the seller of both buildings, on the 879 Marlborough property and Vindar Batoosingh of CB on the 895 Marlborough building. American Medical Response occupies the R&D/Industrial building. It is a concrete tilt-up structure that features fiber optic availability, 24-foot interior clearance, and 120 on-site parking spaces. The concrete tilt-up office building is occupied by Hartford Fire Insurance.
