The hotel, a Courtyard by Marriott, is being developed by Jiten Hotel Management Inc. and will include a 6,500-sf family-style restaurant and 146 parking spaces, according to Jessica Shumaker, a spokesperson for the BRA. Financial details were not available, but according to local published reports, the project will cost an estimated $17 million.
The Brockton, MA-based Jiten owns and operates a number of other hotels in the area including the Holiday Inn Express in Boston, the Holiday Inn in Brockton, the Courtyard in Raynham, the Courtyard in Hyannis and the Comfort Inn in Dedham. The company also owns and operates the Courtyard, the Town Hill Suites and the Springhill Suites in Manchester, NH.
