The Victory Senior Centre of Roseland, being developed by Pathway Senior Living and Neighborhood Housing Services, will be geared to residents at least 65 years old earning between $8,400 and $36,000, says department of planning and development project manager Rita Jones.
Des Plaines-based Pathway Senior Living owns and operates assisted living facilities in Joliet and Park Forest, with two more in Calumet City and Melrose Park coming on line within the next year. The Roseland Victory Centre would be the company's first project in the city, says senior vice president Robert Helle.
Neighborhood Housing Services Redevelopment Corp. has been acquiring properties, says director of development and management Debbie Dixon, for a project that could meet the needs of low-income senior citizens.
Roseland SLF Associates, LP, the entity formed by Pathway Senior Living and Neighborhood Housing Services, will apply for tax credits that if approved in the 2004 round of applications, will help finance the project. The Illinois Department of Public Aid will eventually reimburse Pathway Senior Living $2,300 per month for each occupied unit.
In addition to 350 sf to 400 sf studio units, the building will include a dining area as well as activity rooms, Helle says.
