Guerrero comes to U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corporation after a decade of experience in economic development and community housing development for non-profit, affordable housing groups. He most recently was VP of real estate development for Mercy Housing SouthWest. Before that, he was CFO for Rocky Mountain Mutual Housing Association.
Guerrero graduated from the University of Illinois and received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago He is a member of the board of Urban Peak Housing, and has also been a member of Denver's Affordable Housing Task Force and the Mile High Housing Fund.
U.S. Bancorp's Community Development Corp., a subsidiary of U.S. Bank, makes investments in affordable housing and historic renovations under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program and the Historic Renovation Tax Credit Program. Presently, the CDC has more than $1 billion in investments made under these programs creating more than 45,000 housing units in over 300 developments.Guerrero reports to Beth Stohr, president of the U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corp. "Investing in our communities is good business," Stohr says. "It is rewarding for us to see the positive impact our past projects have had in many communities in the 24 states where U.S. Bank offices are located."
In addition to Denver, U.S. Bancorp Community Development has offices in Portland, Kansas City, St. Louis and Minneapolis." U.S. Bancorp, with assets of $195 billion, is the eight largest financial services holding company in the country.
