Wells chief investment officer David Steinwedell says Oglesby's varied experience "will allow us to maximize all of the opportunities available in the government and university-owned and occupied property area." Steinwedell says "this sector has tremendous growth potential and Joe is the ideal person to lead it."
Oglesby comes to Wells from Orix Real Estate Equities where he was a senior vice president of development. He previously served in senior executive positions with Jones Lang LaSalle, Compass Management and Leasing, Faison and Portman Properties.
Oglesby is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology here and holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering and a master of business administration in finance from Georgia State University.
The acquisitions group at Wells comprises a specialty team which includes the government and university-focused area, and a regional team which covers four primary regions across the country.
