Liberty Investments, LLC, an affiliate of Independence Realty Venture, LLC, of Independence Township says the plan includes 120,000 sf of commercial retail, 30,000 sf of class A office space, and three commercial pad sites. Some 90 condos and townhouses are also included in the proposal, which has yet to be acted upon by the necessary governmental agencies.
"In planning our project it was of foremost importance to maintain the goals and integrity of the township's master plan," says Joseph Locricchio, one of three partners in Liberty. "We embrace the township's vision for the Sashabaw corridor and we believe that by contributing to the effort, we are making a contribution to the long-term well-being of the entire community."
The township's Vision 2020 Master Plan seeks to, among other things, confine growth of strip malls, and create a 'park-like, village atmosphere.'
