Robert Powell, named Capstar's vice president of leasing, left Grubb & Ellis after a five-year stint. The 24-year professional spent the previous 12 years at the now defunct Fults Realty Co. Grubb & Ellis did not respond to a request for comment prior to publication time about the resignation of its vice president and leasing director.

Powell has been assigned to the Churchill Tower, a 280,000-sf office building in Park Central; the two-building, 359,000-sf Preston Park Financial Center in North Dallas; and 235,000-sf 59 Park Center in the far north Dallas submarket. On the Churchill assignment, he teams with Capstar's Dale Ray and on Park Center with Chris Taylor.

Powell tells GlobeSt.com that Grubb & Ellis exit is amicable, but he's "admired Capstar for many years." He is leaving one assignment, the 540,000-sf Occidental Tower in Dallas at 93% occupancy and the 250,000-sf 1111 W. Mockingbird Lane office building at 62%.
