Some of the issues to be discussed include the economy, job growth, the Lower Manhattan market and development projects in the outer boroughs.

"Summer's over, the industry is back to work and there is always the need, especially in as difficult and uncertain a market as today's, to gather together and exchange notes" says Rich Kelley, Director of the RealShare Conference Series.

Jonathan A. Schein, president/CEO, Real Estate Media, GlobeSt.com, will introduce Doug Shorenstein, chairman & CEO of Shorenstein Co., who will talk about the status of the market. Marc Michael Goloven, senior regional economist, JP Morgan Chase, will discuss the current economic forecast. A town hall session will pose the question: Is recovery around the corner for the New York City market?

One of the conference's highlights will be a one-on-one with an industry "super broker," CB Richard Ellis's CEO, New York Metro Region Mary Ann Tighe. Introduced by Michael G. Desiato, editor-in-chief, Real Estate Media, she will share her insights on the market, what the future holds in store for the recently merged CBRE in New York, as well as reflect on her career.

Panel sessions will focus on a wide variety of topics such as investment sales, street retail, capital markets, equity markets, valuations and appraisals and sale/leaseback-1031 exchanges.
