The common purpose of the EuroFM network is to "advance the knowledge and understanding of facilities management through education, research and practice, and to represent the interests of the profession in a pan-European setting." Its membership comprises professional associations, research organizations, educational institutions and corporate associates throughout Europe.

EuroFM Chairman Lionel Prodgers says he is "certain that the whole FM community will gain from closer relations between all professional and educational associations and institutions working together on matters of common interest and to the benefit of every facilities manager." David Brady, Chairman/President of the IFMA says the collaboration is an important investment that "enables the Association's European leaders and members to contribute to the success of FM throughout Europe."

As well as the IFMA Chapters' collaboration in the network's groups of Education, Research and Practice, EuroFM and IFMA will work together on common projects such as the annual European FM Conference and research and education initiatives. The IFMA Chapters will be welcomed at the next members' meeting in Vienna at the end of the month.
