The Rhode Island-based drug store retailer's preferred developer, Cincinnati-based Bear Creek Capital, has chosen the retail brokerage division of United Properties to lead site selection and manage tenant representation for the entry into the market.

United has begun to review potential sites, which tend to be one- or two-acre freestanding locations at busy intersections, in downtowns, neighborhoods, college communities and other high-growth areas.

The CVS stores will range from 11,000 sf to 13,000 sf. The first locations will likely be announced in the spring of 2004, according to United.

"This is a highly coveted tenant representation assignment," says Mike Sims, a United Properties official.
