Troy Williams and Jim Cunningham of Grubb & Ellis, who represented the seller, say the manufacturer of cheerleading and sports products and accessories is scheduled to relocate to its new facility from Santa Ana. The Getz Corp. acquired the property from the Evans Family Trust of Orange for $1.7 million. Its new building is at 539 W. Walnut Ave. and represents a near-doubling of space from its existing 10,000 sf in Santa Ana. Getz was represented by Andy Friedman of Industrial Properties.

The Wm. Getz Corp. was founded in 1970, when it began marketing the familiar white plastic megaphones used by cheerleaders. The company has expanded since then to a broad range of other products, both for cheerleading and for sports, including scoreboards and gameboards.
