The deal was one of seven recently struck at asset owned by The John Buck Co. and Lend Lease Real Estate Investments Inc. BEZ Systems, Inc. will relocate from 222 W. Adams St. to 22,500 sf. Bob Peterson and Matt Hoffer of The Staubach Co. represented A.G. Edwards & Sons while June Simonian of Grubb & Ellis represented BEZ Systems.
While lease terms were not disclosed, published asking net lease rates at 222 S. Riverside Plaza are $19.50 per sf.
Meanwhile, AMEC Construction Management, Inc. has signed a 10-year renewal on 17,776 sf at 125 S. Wacker Dr., a deal that included a generous renovation allowance, according to Studley corporate managing director Lisa Davidson and EVP Richard Schuham, who represented AMEC in negotiations with Ted Prillaman of Insignia/ESG. Published asking net lease rates at the property start at $17.50 per sf.
Madison Capital Funding LLC will move from 303 W. Madison St. to 16,863 sf on the 37th floor at 30 S. Wacker Dr. in a 10-year, $6.5-million deal. Cushman & Wakefield of Illinois senior director Howard Perino, executive vice president A. Mitti Liebersohn and senior account manager Nicole Shuman handled negotiations for Madison Capital Funding, a subsidiary of New York Life, in negotiations with Equity Office Properties Trust's C.J. Dempsey.
Also at 222 S. Riverside Plaza, multifamily lender Community Investment Corp. has renewed a 9,877-sf lease. Cushman & Wakefield's Peggy McTigue and Jena Valdez represented Community Investment Corp.
