The Allied Plastics lease is the latest in a series of transactions over the past year at the complex, which consists of two buildings totaling 275,000 sf, according to Todd Hanson, vice president, United Properties Industrial Brokerage and leasing agent for the property.
"Allied Plastics has its headquarters and main manufacturing plant in Coon Rapids, so this was an opportunity for them to consolidate their distribution operations into one nearby location," Hanson says.
Allied Plastics is operating a finished goods distribution facility at the Elm Creek Commerce Center site, Hanson says. Elm Creek Commerce Center is now about 70 percent leased, he adds.
United Properties is a commercial real estate company with 400 employees and 26.5 million sf of office, industrial, retail and multifamily properties under management.
