The United Facilities building will be built on 16.4 acres in the Business Park, with an option on a 4.3-acre adjacent site, which could be used to expand the building to a total of 475,000 sf.
Bromley Metropolitan District #6 is constructing a 2,200-sf rail spur from the adjacent Burlington Northern Santa Fe line with an additional 750 feet of track to bring rail service to the United Facilities building. The warehouse is being built with six rail car doors and 42 truck docks for loading products for regional distribution.
Western United, which supplies equipment to rural electric associations in the region, has constructed its 78,000-sf distribution center in the Business Park north of the United Facilities site.
"These are the first of a number of companies we expect to locate in the Brighton Interstate Business Park," says Ted Shipman, Bromley Cos. manager. "Soon we also will be able to announce new retail and commercial tenants for other property available in Bromley Park east of I-76."
United Facilities is a family owned and operated warehousing and distribution firm that has been served a variety of customers for 50 years.
