The North Bergen, NJ-based chain signed a 10-year lease, Corey Bialow, the Vitamin Shoppe's real estate director, tells GlobeSt.com. The firm hopes to open 10 stores in the region. To date, stores opened in the Galleria, Copperfield and Conroe areas. Bialow says he's also surveying lease options in the Wllowbrook Mall area in the northwest submarket and Baybrook Mall in the southeast. The Westgate location is ticketed to open in April or May 2004.
Jason Baker of Wulfe & Co. in Houston represents the Vitamin Shoppe in the Houston area. Westgate's developer, Gulf Coast Commercial Group, has in-house broker, Debbie Adams, pre-leasing the project.
